Behind the Joughts

 Writing an "About Me" is difficult for me. I didn't start Joughtful to promote myself, I did it to share my thoughts and experience to ignite inspiration in others. But, after speaking with a few friends, they said it is important to share a little about me with you. So here we go.

I am a proud military brat. My father is an Air Force Veteran, and my grandfather was an Army Veteran. When I met my husband and learned he was Air National Guard it was like fate. See, we military kids feel a sense of home just being around any members of the Armed Forces.

I am overwhelmingly happily married to a man that has dedicated his life to being a public servant. Now retired from the Air National Guard and the Denver Police Department, he is a large part of my success as he supports and pushes me. We have 2 furkids, and although they are bad furkids, they are ours. :)

Despite not having a college education I have a successful career in Multifamily property management. I owe so much to this industry and the hundreds of amazing people I have met. I started by screening applications for approval to oversee operations in the Colorado market for Shea Properties. That's just a fast snippet though. I've held every position at the site level as well as the VP level for training and marketing.

Joughtful is a labor of love for me. I have a passion for mentoring and inspiring. I truly believe knowledge is power and you should share your success, challenges, and observations to help guide others.

So what is Joughtful about? It is a gathering place for me (Jennifer Henderson) to share my thoughts with you...things I call Joughts. We all learn differently and have individual takeaways when presented with something. My goal is for you to find an insightful moment in one of my Joughts.

Oh, and a fun fact...my birthday is on National Taco Day which explains why I could honeslty eat Tacos any day of the week.
